Join these brand new players to Dungeons and Dragons as they learn how to play role-playing games on their quest to become Heroes of Awesome!
There couldn’t be a more diverse group of people sitting together at a table, but these are our Heroes of Awesome…
- Amanda Lune – Graduate student and UX designer at the University of Texas who is dying to learn D&D.
- Sanchita Malik – Undergrad theater student who has hardly ever heard of D&D.
- Abby – Too young for Twitter but loves RPGs like GURPS but has never played Dungeons and Dragons.
- Mark Gardner – Writer and Director who has turned to producing web content.
- Brandon Zuern – Manager of Austin Books and Comics, Guzu Gallery, and Outlaw Moon Games and Toys.
This is the first time the whole crew has been at a gaming table together and they’ve built their characters to rule the fantasy RPG world. They ended up with 3 elves and 1 human playing a rogue, ranger, paladin, and bladesinger. Check out the video and if you’re curious, here’s how their final characters turned out.
